The City of Pico Rivera has engaged the Public Management Group of Urban Futures, Inc. (UFI) to fill the Interim Finance Director position at the City. Tapping into the significant talent resources available at UFI, Susan Hartman will serve the City beginning in November of 2015.
Susan brings a wealth of knowledge with her from a career in municipal finance, and has served as City Treasurer and Director of Finance for the cities of Claremont and Yorba Linda. Susan is a CPA and has, since retirement from City government in 2009, served cities across Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino counties.
Pico Rivera City Manager René Bobadilla commented on hiring UFI, “When we were looking to fill our Finance Director position, partnering with UFI provided the City an opportunity to tap into high caliber municipal finance professionals and meet the needs of the City.”
As the Public Management Group grows as a division of UFI, so do the staffing resources available to cities on a contract basis. UFI CEO Mike Busch said, “We have a strong bench of retired city management professionals and former municipal auditors eager to help cities through time of transition or to enhance existing resources.”
