Urban Futures, Inc. (UFI), as a member of the San Bernardino bankruptcy team, has submitted a revised Plan of Adjustment as required by the Bankruptcy Court in December of 2015.
The City of San Bernardino continues to work through revenue enhancement plans, restructuring of long-term debt and evaluate adjustments to delivery of services within the City. Through the bankruptcy protection process, the City has been able to fund vitally needed infrastructure improvements such as street maintenance and seismic retrofits at City Hall.
The primary objectives moving forward are negotiations to contact fire and solid waste services as well as long term debt obligation restructuring. While these actions will realize significant cost savings, the City is also focused on raising additional revenue sources to support an appropriate level of service in the community.
Members of the UFI team have worked tirelessly to ensure that the residents of San Bernardino see a measurable improvement in the quality of life and City services when the City eventually exits the bankruptcy process.
